Is there a trustee on your Board or someone associated with your library whose service and commitment is truly "above and beyond"?
Do you know a trustee who has made a real difference to library services in your region or at the provincial level? BCLTA is currently accepting applications for three awards for outstanding library trustees and library supporters.
Nancy Bennett
This award recognizes a trustee who has contributed to library service provincially or regionally. Given to a trustee who has been active within the past two years, the Nancy Bennett Merit Award is presented at the BCLTA annual conference. (Trustees currently serving on the BCLTA Board are not eligible for this award.)
Super Trustee
The Super Trustee awards recognize trustees who have made a major contribution to their libraries.
Each award is an engraved plaque and will be presented at the BCLTA annual conference or at a presentation arranged by the trustee’s library.
BCLTA Advocate
Many individuals and organizations contribute in many ways to our libraries. Nominees may be employees, volunteers, philanthropists, corporations or individuals (not trustees) who have made a major contribution to the improvement of libraries in BC. This award will be presented at the BCLTA annual conference or at a presentation at the local library. Please note that this award is available throughout the year and not just during the annual conference.
